It’s easy to get lazy about our nail art when the days are cold and short. But that doesn’t mean your nails have to be boring! There are plenty of simple and stylish nail designs that are perfect for the month of January, and we’ve rounded up some of our favorites here.
1. Glitter Tips
Glitter tips are a classic nail design for a reason they’re easy to do and always look glamorous. Simply apply a coat of clear polish to your nails and then add a strip of glitter to the tips. You can use any color of glitter you like, but we think silver or gold is especially festive for January.
2. Ombre Nails
Ombre nails are another great way to add some interest to your nails without going overboard. To create ombre nails, simply apply two or three different shades of polish to a makeup sponge and then dab it onto your nails. The result will be a beautiful gradient effect.
3. Half-Moon Manicures
Half-moon manicures are a unique and stylish way to wear your nails. To create a half-moon manicure, simply paint the tips of your nails with a dark color and then fill in the rest of the nail with a lighter color. You can use any color combination you like, but we think dark blue and white looks especially chic for January.
